Busy enclosing barn

posted Apr 1, 2011, 12:02 PM by Caroline Swansey

Caroline and I, have been busy pounding nails and enclosing this existing structure. The original use of this structure was a dog pen. We decided to enclose it and use it as another barn for shelter when our animals are out in the two larger pastures and/or for milking the goats when it comes time ( barn has cement floors easy for cleaning).  We spent a couple of days adding studs and siding with the doors facing the north. A satisfying job to mark off the check list! We are planning on re-finishing the huge barn next winter, making several stalls, enclosing one side, fixing the roof and adding barn doors.
