Fun in the Snow at Yacolt Mountain Farm and Nursery!

Though we have been harvesting greens and other crops here and there, the snow finally hit us and it is uncertain whether we'll be able to harvest much more before our first spring crops. The greenhouse crops are definitely in better shape than those outside but the snow cover gives them a lot more time in the dark which makes the plants weak.  So, stay tuned to see weather our crops tough it out in the snow, we certainly hope to see them revive when the winter weather passes.
On the other hand, snow is also fun! We hooked Lucy up to the sleigh and drove around the farm. She loved it and our friends that came over did too! As the snow accumulated we also hooked her up to a home built snow plow such that we could get the snow off the driveway and Lucy showed us she is very capable.
