Nursery plant season coming to an end

posted Sep 18, 2011, 5:52 PM by Admin at Yacolt Mountain Farm and Nursery
As most of you know, the planting season for vegetables has come to an end this year. We sold out all our fall season starts last week and will not be selling any more vegetable starts this year, as starting from seed is now to late for the outdoor gardener.

Look forward to our vegetable, herb and beneficial flower starts next year, which we will be starting in our greenhouse from seed as early as temperatures permit. We of course will always start with the cool season crops and always aim to sell the right vegetables at the right time for our area. Their is never any use in selling tomato plants in March, though some nurseries will.

If you have any particular requests and would like us to start specific varieties for you, please let us know. We always buy our seed ahead of time and we're happy to try something new and grow your favorite vegetable varieties.
