Although 2 of them were dead upon arrival, most of the chicks made the trip safe and sound. We dipped their beaks into the water right away and put them under the red heat lamps, which is why the picture looks red. After rehydrating themselves and feeding many seemed to take little naps and then go back at feeding and drinking, very funny to watch! We're feeding them organic payback started crumbles and they seem to like them quite well. They are definitely a little wobbly on their feet especially the bronze breasted turkeys seem to loose their balance a lot. The delaware x new hampshire cross are very quick and look like yellow little poof balls. They are definitely a little messy with the water, which made the area around it very wet. Well, this could be a good reason to come visit us and check out the chicks, though I'm sure they won't be small for very long.
