After it became official that Dan and I would move to our new home in Yacolt Washington we took the first steps to starting our farm business. It is a dream come true for us to have a piece of land where we will be able to work on a vision which has been alive in our hearts for a long time. We've ordered enough seeds to plant 4 acres of vegetable crops and have at least 30 different crop varieties. We bought a work truck that will allow us to bring a substantial amount of crops to the farmer's market and will help us pick up resources. At the end of February we will move all of our life belongings, including a dog, a cat and four chickens to our new place. When we arrive we will have many things to work on, including setting up the greenhouse, putting up a deer fence, cleaning the barn, picking up sheep and a goat and many more. We hope to keep you posted about our adventures, excitements and challenges every step of the way. This is just one of the first steps.
