We just finished building a loft in the big barn with the help of Bill Fleming and Kirk Chamberlain. I can't begin to tell you how extremely grateful Caroline and I are to the two of them for all of their help. Bill, concerned with the future of this community, donated all the lumber(from his own land and his own saw mill), and gave us the specs on how to build it.  Kirk, retired from the Oregon Parks Dept, donated his time, knowledge and hard work.  Sometimes it's difficult for me to accept help with projects etc. but I was taken back by these two individuals. Now, I had only met Bill at the Azure Standard pickup a few times and had some small talk conversation. I had told him what I was up to on the farm about getting ready to build a loft.
